Vines Botanical Gardens Wedding Portraits

The wedding couple Emily-Rose and Alex gave us several tips for the location to photograph their wedding portraits as the grounds of their Grace Fellowship Church in Snellville, GA, didn’t offer that many spots with a good light. So, in the morning before the wedding, we went on a scouting trip to Snellville and some other surronding towns, and we visited all the given places one by one. Well, we should have started at the Vines Botanical Gardens in Loganville, GA, because the place is simply incredible. A paradise for a wedding or portrait photographer. It’s a beautiful park which is open free to public.

Emily-Rose and Alex met for their wedding day at the Vines. They spent about an hour there before the wedding party joined us for more pictures. It was perhaps the most fun-loving wedding party we could work with. You guys were incredible!

We hope to photograph another wedding at the Vines Botanical Gardens or an engagement portrait session soon. If you would like to have your engagement portraits done at the Vines, please let us know…

Dunaway Gardens Wedding

Dunaway Gardens are magnificent natural rock and floral 25-acre gardens located in Newnan, GA, about 30 minutes south of Atlanta. The place is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

We were given the honor of photographing the beautiful wedding of Allison and Timothy. Even though the couple gave us plenty of time before the ceremony for their portraits, we still could use only a fraction of nice spots Dunaway Gardens offer. The portrait possibilities there are so overwhelming, and we hope to photograph more weddings or portraits at this one of a kind place in the future!

Wedding coordinator Corrie Kirk (on right) owner of Signature Weddings & Events with her assistant made sure that the wedding was on time all the day. They also helped us tremendously during formal portraits and portraits with the wedding party. Thanks!

Wedding at Little Gardens, Lawrenceville, GA

Little Gardens is a very nice facility for weddings and events located in Lawrenceville, GA. It is owned by Magic Moments, Inc. who also owns three other very popular and busy wedding venues in the Atlanta area: Primrose Cottage, Flint Hill, and The Atrium. We photographed several weddings in the past at the other venues, but this one was our first wedding at Little Gardens. We really liked the place and are excited about the other two weddings we have booked there, one in October 2010 and the second one in February 2011.

All Magic Moment wedding venues are profesinally designed and well maintained to provide nice settings for wedding anytime during a year and beautiful backdrops for photography inside or out.

Ann Marie and Travis invited almost 200 guests to celebrate their wedding and it was a great, unforgetable party. We were so happy to be a part of it.

Engagement Portraits in Athens, GA

Ashley and Jeff, one of our 2011 couples, saw us working for the first time at a wedding in October 2009 where Ashley was a bridesmaid. We met with them for the second time in Athens, GA, for their engagement portrait session. It was a nice mid-May evening with ideal setting for portraits – such a wonderful light and not so hot weather. We loved hanging out with Ashley and Jeff. What a great couple…

Liz and Frank Engaged

In our opinion, late March, April, and early May is the best time of the year for outdoor portraits in Georgia. The hot and humid season comes in mid- or late May. The newly engaged couple from Atlanta Liz and Frank could enjoy ideal conditions for photography. We spent about 90 minutes looking for nice spots throughout the whole Piedmont Park and creating portraits, and here are some of their engagement pictures:

Victoria and Chinedum, a lovely couple with an exceptional chemistry, are getting married in August in Atlanta and Smyrna. On Friday, we got together to take their engagement pictures at Piedmont Park in Atlanta and got a nice set of romantic portraits.

Wedding at King Plow Arts Center

Monica and Walter have been the first couple who encouraged us to experiment and provided extra time to deliver a set of portraits that would be a bit different from our traditional portraiture work. We met them for first time in June 2009 for their engagement portraits.

Saturday May 1st 2010 was their big day. Monica and Walter celebrated their wedding at King Plow Arts Center in Atlanta and our cameras were present.

Here are some portraits and couple of pictures from getting ready we wanted to show Monica and Walter before they would leave for their exotic honeymoon. We are currently working on the pictures and hope to add some more here by the end of the week.

And a very, very, very traditional one…

Berry College, Rome, GA – Engagement

Berry College in Rome, GA, is one of our favorite locations for weddings. The combination of hundres of well maintained acres of land and old stone buildings provides great backdrops for photography. The area near Swan Lake in Mountain Campus is perhaps the most used spot for portraits in the whole Rome area.

Alex, a fresh Berry College alumni, and Emily-Rose, who is finishing her studies this summer, met at a college sporting event a few years ago. We visited some of their places on the campus and took the engagement portraits.

Alex and Emily-Rose will get married in June and we look forward to be a small part of their marriage celebration.

Engagement Portraits in Atlanta

We were soooooo excited to be hired to photograph engagement portraits and a wedding of another Atlanta wedding professional – Eddie Sloan of Mr. Twinkletoes – an excellent dance instructor. Eddie has helped more than 1000 couples to prepare their dances for their weddings.

Eddie proposed to June and both have been enjoying a wonderful engagement. We spent an evening with them trying to capture their busy lives, passion for dance, joy of being together, and their love. We had lots of fun and and can’t wait to their wedding in July.

Engagement Portraits in Roswell, GA

Anna-Maria and Teron met with us in Roswell, GA for their engagement portraits. Our studio was hired just for the portraits as their wedding was arranged in Las Vegas where the venue provided their own photographer.

Anna-Maria and Teron asked for lifestyle portraits that would go beyond anything ordinary. Working with them would be blast for any photographer. Their creativity and involvement during the photoshoot was extraordinary!
